Five Favorite Smoothie Recipies

 

The smoothie is my favorite way of getting the fruits and vegetables my body craves. The right combination creates a delicious, refreshing breakfast, post-workout energy boost, or meal-on-the-go.  I love blending fresh fruits with nutritious supplements to deliver balanced energy to power my day.

 

Here are five of my favorites.

 

Berry Banana –bananas are an excellent source of potassium, but they add a velvety texture to this blend.  Combine these ingredients with ice:

 

1 Banana 

4 pieces of strawberries 

2 scoops of vegan lean vanilla protein powder 

8oz almond milk 

1 Tablespoon Beetroot powder

 

Chocolate Delight—here’s an easy-to-make option that satisfies your chocolate cravings.  Just add ice;

 

1 Banana 

1 tablespoon cocoa powder 

2 scoops vegan lean vanilla protein powder 

8 oz almond milk

 

 

Lavender Berry—I just love the color.  For a glass of lavender happiness, add ice to:

 

5-8 ripe blackberries 

2 scoops vegan lean vanilla protein powder 

1 tablespoon Greek Yogurt or Almond Yogurt 

 

 

Super Banana Blend—here’s a way to combine the sweetness of banana with a dose of Peruvian superfood maca root.  The chia seeds are a great source of heart-healthy Omega-3 fatty acids as well as calcium and protein.  Just add ice:

 

1 frozen Banana

1 tablespoon almond butter

2 tsp of maca root powder 

1 tbsp chia seeds 

3-4 pieces of dates 

 

 

I Can’t Believe it’s Spinach—when you need more healthy, nutritious spinach in your diet but your taste buds are screaming, “berries,” try these ingredients mixed with ice:

 

1/2 cup of blueberries 

1/2 cup of spinach

1 tablespoon Greek yogurt 

1 tsp Beetroot powder

12 oz almond milk

Dear Jasmine,

First of all I love all of your collection. My name is Niya I’m from Georgia too. I hope to be like you one day. I’m only 13 but I’m shooting for the gold. Jasmine, I’m  writing to you because my  has been really, really sick with stage 4 Colon Cancer. She is now in remission we thank God for that. The doctor says she has to work out and keep in shape. she has no clothes to wear. When she does have,any money she spends it on me. I tell her all the time to get her something she says she isn’t working right now and money is extremely tight. Jasmine, I have saved up 42.00 from my dog walking  you can have it all and I can keep paying you every week. I just want my mommy to have some nice clothes. I showed her your collection, and she said, I wish I had the money to by these beautiful clothes. Jasmine can you please help my mommy. I can pay you every week. My mom has raised me to keep my word and be honest.
